Welcome to the Brown Trout Golf & Country Inn. You might want to stay for a drink, for dinner, for the weekend or maybe just for a round of golf. No matter how long you stay with us we want you to enjoy the Brown Trout experience. You’ll find we’ve worked very hard to make things laid back here. The gym is fully equipped and usually quite empty! The nine-hole golf course crosses water seven times but you’re never far from help and encouragement from bar manager of 39 years, Gerry McIlwaine. The Brown Trout staff know you’re here to relax and that’s what makes our regulars come back time and again. At the Brown Trout we know that relaxing means different things to different people. For some, food and drink is all-important. The bar food is fresh and exciting - anything from rib-eye steak to local fresh fish. The restaurant has an extensive menu where again the focus is on excellent home cooking.
