The George hotel is situated opposite Huddersfield railway station and is famous as the birth place of Rugby League Football, the meeting that founded it was held at the hotel in 1895. Providing the perfect link to Manchester and Leeds, the hotel is easily accessible to Leeds/Bradford Airport and Manchester Airport as well as 10 minutes drive from the M62 motorway. There are 60 ensuite bedrooms and the public areas include a comfortable, traditional lounge and bar, and a restaurant which has recently undergone refurbishment.
