Red Lion at Burnsall was originally a sixteenth century Ferrymans inn. Not only do we offer accommodation at the Red Lion we offer superb food, fine wines and real ale. The horse trough that stood outside the front door now resides under the stone steps that lead to the bedrooms. It was easier to build around the trough over the centuries than move it. Traditionally paneled and floored in oak by local craftsmen, the bar is a popular meeting place for villagers and guests alike. We provide a wide selection of cask conditioned real ales and fine wines to be enjoyed along with an extensive brasserie menu.
