Set in beautiful landscaped gardens, this 100-year old house is next to the River Eye, with free fishing for guests. It boasts individually designed rooms, free Wi-Fi, and fresh, seasonal food. With comfortable, pocket spring mattresses, each room at Sysonby Knoll is bright and warmly furnished, with an elegant private bathroom. Flat-screen TVs are provided in each room, along with a hairdryer and tea/coffee facilities. Hearty, full English breakfasts are provided each day for guests. The restaurant offers lovely views across the Wreake Valley in historic, colonial surroundings. It serves a variety of menus, made with fresh, local produce. Guests can relax in the pretty gardens, by the river, or enjoy a scenic walk through the hotel’s 3 acres of meadows. Free parking is available, and Melton Mowbray’s centre and rail station are only a 20-minute walk away. Leicester and Nottingham are both 30 minutes’ drive away, and Belvoir Castle can be reached in 20 minutes by car.
