Boasting one of the most prestigious locations of Scotland's Capital, the George Hotel is situated in the heart of the city, taking prime position on the elegant George Street. Summer 2006 saw the completion of a major £12 million refurbishment of this two hundred year old grade II listed building which will clearly reposition The George Hotel to its rightful position at the top end of the 4 star Edinburgh hotel market. Although retaining many of the original architectural details, most of the 195 hotel's bedrooms, many with views of Edinburgh Castle or the Firth of Forth, have been transformed and given a contemporary new look. Wireless and broadband access is available throughout the hotel. We've created the Kings Hall, a magnificent new events room seating up to 260 people for dinner or 200 guests for a dinner dance. Eight additional state-of-the-art rooms will hold between 16 and 80 people for private dining. The hotel now also boasts one of George Street's coolest bar and restaurant adventures, Tempus, offering sophisticated contemporary surroundings and the best of local produce and international wines and cocktails.
