The Churchill Hotel Piano Bar and Restaurant - Description

The Churchill Hotel is a luxury hotel situated in York city centre. The building is a superb example of a late Georgian mansion built around 1827. Over the years the house has been a girls school, grace and favour home and military offices. In 2007 this listed building underwent a two million pound refurbishment and extension which has reawakened it's past historical grandeur. Set in its own grounds, the house is ideally situated just a short walk from the Minster and all of Yorks major attractions. The Churchill's bedrooms vary in size and style but share the same common values of attention to detail, comfort and quality. Designed by Oliver Redfern and David Richard Mellor the striking modern interiors of the bedrooms, with their strong lines and bold colours, complement the magnificent original features of the building.
