Glan Yr Afon Inn Hotel and Restaurant - Description

Records show that parts of our inn date back to the 16th Century, as do parts of the neighbouring houses. We are sure you will enjoy your visit. The Glan sits above the famous Milwr Tunnel which is a tunnel that runs from the River Dee to the Halkyn Mountains and was built to drain the mines in the mountains. The Glan provides good, locally sourced food wherever possible and offers this in traditional and contemporary settings. The Glan is renowned for its real ales and also has nice rooms with extensive facilities. We have a function room that can be used by businesses for small conferences and also by individuals who are hosting weddings, parties and other events.
