The Bird In Hand is a delightful Country Inn with a history that spans 600 years. When you step through our doors you catch a glimpse of the past... and walk in the footsteps of King George III. The Bird in Hand offers 15 individually designed bedrooms. All rooms are en-suite, have tea/coffee welcome trays, Televisions, desks, direct dial telephones and free WI-FI. The bedrooms range from Executive Doubles & Twin Rooms to Singles. All rooms offer the same high standards, with size being the differing factors. Relax in one of our comfortable leather chairs surrounded by wood panelled walls, enjoying the atmosphere of a warm open fire. Our wide selection of real ales and traditional English fayre (Please see menu from link below), offers a memorable experience. During the summer months the courtyard and gardens are an ideal eating and drinking area. We also have regular Barbeques offering a different yet fun dining experience. Every lunch we have a fresh cold buffet consisting of a selection of fish, cold meats, vegetarian selections and salads. We also offer Ploughman's, sandwiches and baguettes. We have a traditional English bar, open to all customers giving it a vibrant social atmosphere.
