A family run Country House with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, within The Dartmoor National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Surrounded by the high Tors, it stands in 8 acres of delightful gardens and pastureland in the historic village of Lydford through which the river Lyd rushes before it tumbles through the renowned National Trust Gorge with its spectacular White Lady waterfall. Situated close to the Devon & Cornwall border; the high cliffed North Cornish coastline, gentler South Devon coast, Eden Project and many other sites of interest are all less than an hours drive away. Our rooms are named after local Tors(hills), the majority have been extensively refurbished over the past two years and boast contemporary en--suites and hard wood furnishings. You will be delightfully surprised with the wonderful dishes created by Valerio, our Italian chef. The greatest care is taken to present a mouth watering choice from traditional dishes right through to classics with a modern twist.
