The Haven is a bit more expensive than other B&Bs but the quality justifies this. The rooms are well presented with modern décor, good quality furniture and very nice shower rooms. The whole place was in excellent order and very clean and well presented, with a very warm welcome given to us when we arrived. It is so rare these days to find SUCH a nice place which is also dog friendly and really does welcome them.
The breakfast was excellent in terms of variety and quality with plenty of fresh fruit, cheese, muffins and buns and smoked salmon, with proper bread. The buffet hot breakfast was equally good and included haggis! It was hot too, as the quantities put out were just right and the bowls were covered. We also saw gluten free cereal. Coffee was from a machine, but was, I gather, very good. The only downside was the limited parking, which was full when we arrived, and meant that we had to park down the road, and double park, blocking the road, for loading and unloading purposes. We wish that The Haven was closer to the middle of our route between Harris and Wensleydale as we would happily make it our stop off, but it is a bit out of the way for us. We will though definitely revisit if ferry times and our circumstances allow.
